The virtue of books

With the increase of eReaders, people do sometimes ask,  what is the point of print?

This poster sums it all up.

The written word is as much about presentation as content.

eReaders are great, but if you can’t see the presentation, you’re missing half the story.  That doesn’t negate technology. PDFs on Tablets preserve content in its presentation form. But think about these things when you read. And think about what this poster says.

This poster was created by Beatrice Warde. You may see it in other typography and forms. But this is how she intended it to be presented. This is the original, Trajan font, point sizes, coloring, etc.
