Climb every mountain . . . .

There are many holiday movies, and depending on where you are in life, each year a different film might appeal.  This year, we were sitting around Christmas Eve when The Sound of Music came on.

It’s filled with wonderful songs, but this year, the one that really struck a chord (pun intended) was Climb Every Mountain.

Climb every mountain,
Search high and low,
Follow every highway,
Every path you know.

Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
‘Till you find your dream.

The sad truth is, many of us are told to work hard to achieve our dream. But few people stop to mention there are worthy dreams and unworthy ones. What is a dream worth pursuing?  It’s not something we can accomplish, such as fame or wealth, it’s something that

. . .  will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life
For as long as you live!

Here’s hoping in 2012, you find your dream, and spend the rest of your life giving it all the love you can give.
